Mapping the dynamic
Before offering any direction, the first session is spent understanding the actual pattern — not just the most recent incident. Most clients find this alone shifts something.
Every meaningful relationship — with a partner, a colleague, a family member — has patterns that are hard to see from the inside. A second perspective, held over time, changes what you can notice and what you can change.

Each session runs for 60 minutes and focuses on one concrete situation you are navigating. You leave with a clearer read of what is happening and at least 2 specific things to try before the next meeting.
Before offering any direction, the first session is spent understanding the actual pattern — not just the most recent incident. Most clients find this alone shifts something.
Sessions include direct practice with specific communication approaches — not theory. You rehearse the difficult conversation, not just discuss it in the abstract.
Notes from each meeting are shared within 24 hours. Between sessions, a short written check-in is available — useful when something unexpected comes up mid-week.
Four structured stages that move from understanding to action — each building on what came before rather than starting fresh each time.
A 30-minute call to understand your situation, what you have already tried, and whether the fit makes sense. No commitment required at this stage.
60 minutes mapping the core dynamic at play. You identify 1 relationship you want to focus on and describe 3 recent moments that felt stuck or unresolved.
Sessions 2 and 3 move into direct rehearsal. You try specific approaches between meetings and report back on what shifted — even slightly — and what did not.
At the end of the first month, a written summary outlines what has changed, what still needs attention, and a suggested focus for the next 4 to 8 weeks.

"I had talked about the same problem with friends for two years. What changed was having someone hold the thread across multiple conversations — not just listen once."— Brigitte Halvorsen, client since 2024

Most clients work with a mentor for 3 to 12 months depending on the complexity of their situation. Shorter engagements of 4 to 6 sessions are available for specific, well-defined challenges.
Sessions address communication breakdowns, recurring conflict patterns, boundaries in professional and personal relationships, and rebuilding trust after significant ruptures.
No. Mentorship at Elvion focuses on practical skill-building and strategic guidance rather than clinical treatment. If a clinical need becomes apparent, appropriate professional support will be recommended.
Most clients meet fortnightly, which allows enough time between sessions to apply what was discussed. Weekly sessions are available for those navigating an active crisis or transition.
Sessions are held online via video call. For clients in the Orange NSW area, in-person meetings at 145 Kite St can be arranged by request.
